Mount Ida Pharmacy is located in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, situated on beautiful Shuswap Lake. We are independently owned and operated, and have been proudly serving all of Salmon Arm and surrounding areas since 2008.

Our goal is to provide our patients with all their pharmacy needs including Compliance Pill Packaging, Home Health Care, Medical Supplies, and even Custom Compounding (both sterile and non-sterile) from our nearby sister location.

Our company culture is one that promotes a positive work environment and work-life balance. No late evenings, our store is open limited hours on Saturdays (9am - 3pm) and we're closed all Sundays and holidays. Our group of 20 stores are independently owned and operated. This means you have the ability to work with the owner and management team to quickly make decisions and resolve any issues or concerns.

We are looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to work at our Salmon Arm location with the potential of working some shifts at our sister location, Munro Sorrento Prescriptions, in Sorrento, B.C.

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacists with daily operations of the Pharmacy. This includes but is not limited to:

Processing and preparing prescriptions. Performing final checks on prescriptions including custom compounds and pill packs. Counselling patients on the use of medical devices. Assisting patients in person and over the phone. Collaborating with other Health Care Professionals including Pharmacists, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, Care Aides, and Support Workers.
The successful candidate will be a registrant with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia, and will have:

Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Exceptional customer service skills. Good organizational skills and the ability to multi task. Basic computer skills (experience with WinRx Pharmacy Software is an asset). Problem solving skills.

Compensation will be based on experience level of the successful candidate and is negotiable.
