The Job



We are looking for a detailed oriented individual with strong leadership potential. The right candidate will lead our dispensary team to support our pharmacists in practicing to their fullest scope. The RPT will manage non-regulated members in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager to manage workflow operations and ensure adherence to policies & procedures. They will have the opportunity to participate in patient care activities within their scope of practice to enhance patient care provided at the pharmacy.

Responsibilities



- Verify authenticity and accuracy of new and refill prescriptions being dispensed

- Assist patients and non-regulated members in understanding third-party insurance coverage including coordination of benefits, compound authorizations, special authorizations, etc.

- Ensure appropriate documentation is available for Pharmacist clinical assessment

- Alert Pharmacist of potential adverse reactions or potential drug interactions

- Provide patient education on health aids and devices

- Offer assistance with OTC selection and referral to Pharmacist

- Manage the blister packaging service

- Manage dispensary inventory

- Adopt expanding scope of Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician practice

A strong candidate will:



- Be licensed & registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacy

- Be organized, detail oriented, professional, enthusiastic, and collaborative

- Have strong verbal and written communication skills

- Have excellent customer service skills

- Have previous experience working in retail pharmacy

- Have previous experience with Kroll digital workflow, PrescribeIT, and Netcare RTI

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
