Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to deliver high-quality care to patients across the GTA, with a special focus on seniors and those facing complex health challenges, including Alzheimer's and dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver holistic nursing care tailored to the individual needs of patients, particularly seniors and those living with cognitive challenges.
Apply your clinical expertise in wound management, infusion therapy, palliative care, chronic disease management, and surgical care.
Effectively manage high-risk behaviors, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Continuously assess and respond to changing patient needs, promoting optimal health outcomes.
Provide education and support to patients and their families, fostering a respectful and empathetic environment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a strong emphasis on gerontology. At least 2 years experience working in a retirement home/long term care.
Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Proven experience in caring for patients with Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as managing high-risk behaviors.
Ability to work independently and handle a varied caseload.
Proficiency in English (both verbal and written); additional languages are an asset.
Experience in infusion therapy, mental health, and palliative care is preferred.
Strong assessment and patient education skills.
Evidence of ongoing continuing education in relevant areas, particularly in gerontology and dementia care.
