The Temiskaming Hospital, located approximately 150 kilometres north of North Bay, is nestled upon the traditional territory of the Algonquin, Anishinaabe and Cree people along the beautiful shores of Lake Temiskaming.

TH offers a wide range of acute and post-acute care including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care, obstetrical, rehabilitation and complex/transitional care and palliative care services. In addition to the above, the Hospital offers laboratory, diagnostic imaging and mental health and addictions programs.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining quality of patient care, utilizing the nursing process; recognizing and interpreting patients' conditions and reporting to appropriate persons, as well as taking measures to deal with adverse situations.

Hours of Work:
Combination of 4, 8 and 12 hour shifts. Applicants must be able to work days, evenings, and nights (weekdays and weekends)
Mandatory Requirements:
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing Program
Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current certification in CPR (Basic Life Support-C) and ACLS
Assets:
Recent clinical experience in Labour & Delivery; including antenatal and intrapartum care; post-partum experience with demonstrated ability in caring for the mother / baby
Breastfeeding knowledge, teaching and leadership skills
Demonstrated skill knowledge of IV Therapy
Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Fetal Health Surveillance
PALS, PEARS, ECG 1 & 2, TNCC
Ability to speak fluently in French and understand spoken French
Responsibilities:
Maintaining quality of patient care, utilizing the nursing process.
Recognizing and interpreting patient's condition and reporting to appropriate persons, as well as taking measures to deal with adverse situations.
Mentoring less experienced personnel.
Implementing policies and procedures.
Providing assistance to Medical Staff when required.
