Canadian Health Labs (CHL) seeks a Registered Nurse (RN), Inpatient Care, who is a multi-disciplinary team member. This position is responsible for assessing patient health status and responding to actual and potential health problems, including emergent and critical situations, on an ongoing basis during the provision of inpatient nursing care.

This is a TRAVEL NURSING role. Applicant must be willing to be deployed in Nunavut for 30 days or more. We offer flexible agreement lengths, with long-term deployment incentives available. All travel, accommodation and provincial nursing licensure costs are 100% covered by CHL.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; registered in good standing with a provincial governing body.
  • One year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient and family-centred care.
  • Proficient clinical skills in assessment, physical examination, and nursing intervention.
  • Ability to establish relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and recognize when consultation is needed.
  • Microsoft Windows-based programs competency.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one of Nunavut\xe2\x80\x99s official languages is an asset.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
Provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination as per provincial Covid-19 Immunization and Management Policy.
Criminal records and vulnerable sector checks will be required.
