As a self-directed team member with Community Care in the Edmonton zone, the Registered Nurse demonstrates strong team player skills and has responsibilities, including; assessment of needs, delivering appropriate therapeutic nursing services within professional practice standards, coordinating resources, establishing goals for client delivery, and evaluating outcomes. In addition, this position involves case management of clients as well as the direct provision of client care that meets established clinical standards, and is evidence based and client centered. The Registered Nurse acts as a consultant on the team providing clinical expertise and direction to other team members regarding their cases. Provides case management through nursing assessment and interventions to clients. This position is integral to the Short Term Intervention Team (STIT), which provides triage and clinic support, as well as community visits that require specialized skills in cardiac, IV therapy and wound care.
