Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree (Preferred) Full We are looking for full-time/part-time RNs and RPNs to join our team! Edion Healthcare limited is a transcending healthcare staffing agency that focuses on providing relief staff with the most qualified, experienced, and passionate RN\xe2\x80\x99S, RPN to Long-term care, retirement homes, Responsibilities, and Duties:
\xc2\xb7 Assesses, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care to meet the residents\' physical and emotional needs. Ensure resident care plan is initiated in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate with families regarding the care and condition of respective residents as required.
\xc2\xb7 Provide direct resident care and participate in resident teaching.
\xc2\xb7 Assist in the development and maintenance of an appropriate plan of care for each resident.
\xc2\xb7 Liaise with attending physicians, psychiatrists, consultants, social workers, clergy, families or responsible persons, nursing, dietary, activity staff, etc. to ensure effective resident care is provided;
\xc2\xb7 Procure and administer medications including all injections and narcotics;
\xc2\xb7 Participate in the orientation, on-the-job training, and in-servicing of nursing staff as required;
\xc2\xb7 Supervise employees in varying areas of responsibility.
The ideal candidates will possess:
\xc2\xb7 Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses within their province;
\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 1yr experience but no experience will also be considered as orientations will be conducted
\xc2\xb7 A sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term nursing. Knowledge of the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), and other pertinent Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statutes which influence the operation of the Retirement Home and more specifically the nursing department;
\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills and decision-making ability;
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and co-operatively in a busy, multi-disciplinary situation/setting. Must be available for weekend shifts If you do not have these required documents do not apply for the position: Recent vulnerable sector check for employment (not VSC used for school) within the year

• Current CPR and first aid certificate from a WSIB approved Vendor

• A recent copy of a 2-step TB test within 1 year

• N95 mask fit certificate

• COVID vaccination Certificate

• All Immunization record - 2 step TB Test1, MMR, Tetanus, Hep B, Varicella, Flu Shot - annually.

Job Type: Casual Salary: From $62.00 per hour Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
• Weekends only
