ROLE: Registered Nurse - Long Term Care | Agency Contract| Cornwall, ON Full time| 11 week contract- Until August 31st with option for overtime $1500/month rent stipend per 4 weeks and kilometer compensation ($1/km) at start and end of contract $63/hour 2-5 Years Experience LTC Mandatory Must be available for in class orientation June 12 Must be available to work NIGHT Shifts ONLY AGENCY CONTRACT THROUGH HERO CARE HERO CARE has a proven track record in providing our contract/travel nurses with a variety of exciting, positive and unique working experiences. Our team is now expanding our staffing services to provide contracts to Registered Nurses across Canada! QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:

• 2-5 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Registered Nursing License in good standing with the Provincial College of Nurses
• Current BCLS
• Vulnerable Sector Screen renewed within 6 months
• Professional Liability Insurance

SKILLS & ABILITY:

• Patient care
• Head to toe assessment
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Patient/family education and instruction

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate and monitor the patient\xe2\x80\x99s progress.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a resident\xe2\x80\x99s medical condition.
• Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.
• If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctors.
• Maintain Resident records.
• Create and implement effective care plans.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Responsible for maintaining care standards
• Perform diagnostic tests
• Communicate with doctors and residents to keep everyone updated on test results and treatment recommendations
• Monitoring resident care

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Must comply with:

• Human Resource, Corporation, and Department Policies
• Must provide satisfactory vulnerable sector check
• Must maintain Registered Nurse class license with the Provincial College of Nurses
