We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Nursing Care setting. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient management to ensure optimal health outcomes for our residents.
Duties
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents in a senior care facility, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses, documenting any changes in condition.
Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety regulations.
Engage in case management activities, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide pain management support and education to patients and their families.
Assist with the daily living activities of patients in a nursing home environment with a focus on patient centred care and dementia care.
Conduct regular assessments of patient conditions, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Qualifications
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license CRNPEI or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Experience in senior care preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing homes is highly desirable.
Knowledge of pain management techniques and case management principles.
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic or Cerner).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
