We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse/Lactation Consultant to support our Neonatal Intensive Care team (NICU) at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. The NICU consists of 2 levels of specialized care: Level III and Level II. The NICU has 57 beds and provides care for all newly admitted infants and infants who require assisted ventilation, intravenous nutrition, intensive cardiorespiratory monitoring and / or close nursing and medical care.

Job Requirements

  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BScN (preferred)
  • Preference will be given to applicants with 1-2 years of recent Neonatal and/or Level 2 nursing experience; consideration for hire may also be given to nursing graduates who have completed their consolidation in NICU or Paediatric Intensive Care
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider status; applicants not currently enrolled in the NRP program may be considered \xe2\x80\x93 as a condition of hire the NRP course must be successfully completed within three (3) months of hire
  • Completion of or current enrollment in neonatal specialty certificate preferred:
    • Applicants with less than one (1) year of NICU experience must commit to obtaining their NICU specialty certificate within two (2) years from their date of hire
  • S.T.A.B.L.E course an asset
