Position Summary
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Emergency Services, the successful applicant will be working in triage to support the Emergency Department during the next phase of redevelopment. This is a 6 month temporary full-time opportunity with a continental schedule 0900-2100hrs to support peak triage times.
Primary Responsibilities
Triuage standard of work
Support main department ambulance triage
Support acute walk-in patients that require triage in main department
Support pateint flow of triaged patients from new triage space to assigned zone
Mandatory Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited college university nursing program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Emergency department nursing experience
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certification (within 6 months of employment)
Triage Certification (eCTAS) mandatory

Demonstrated ability to work within a Total Patient Care Delivery system in which regulated health care professionals practice to their full scope adhering to the practice standards as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario
