Safe Umbrella Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated
X-Ray Technologist
to join our team for placements across hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic imaging centers. The successful candidate will perform high-quality radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality images.
Verify patient identification and review requisitions to ensure accurate imaging.
Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.
Follow radiation safety procedures and ensure proper use of shielding and protective equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses.
Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and infection prevention protocols.
Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
Provide exceptional patient care and maintain professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT/X-Ray) program.
Current certification or eligibility with the
CAMRT
or applicable provincial regulatory body (e.g., BC-CAMRT, CMRITO, SAMRT).
Current CPR (BLS) certification.
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience preferred (but facility-dependent).
Strong technical skills with digital imaging systems (DR/CR).
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Physical ability to assist patients, stand for long periods, and operate imaging equipment.
Willingness to travel for assignments (if applicable).
Compliance with required immunizations and facility onboarding requirements.
