We are searching for
an Educator (Registered Nurse)
to join our Clinical Education Team that teaches our ever-growing Nursing Department how to provide the best care possible to our residents. This is a full-time shift position.
Position Summary:
The
Registered Nurse - Educator
oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of effective programs and training focused on ensuring quality and safety in clinical care and services for residents. The incumbent acts as the compliance officer and provides clinical training to ensure clinical practice follows all regulatory and provincial standards and mandates. The Clinical Lead/RN/Educator provides guidance and works in consultation with the Site Managers and Directors of Care at each site to ensure clinical practices meet the requirements of standards, legislation and organizational strategic directions while promoting quality and resident/client safety as a priority for the organization.

What You Bring to the Role:
Demonstrates a positive ("Yes we can!") attitude and fosters a collaborative ("Let's do it together!") environment.
Experience in leading initiatives focused on clinical quality improvement, creating a culture of safety, change management, staff and client/resident engagement and education and the ongoing development of healthcare employees required.
Must be flexible with availability, including the ability to support and work across all shifts (day, evening, nights, weekends) as needed.
A natural champion of nursing best practice.
Holds a recognized Registered Nursing degree.
Holds current registration and in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA).
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience.
Holds a valid Driver's License and has a reliable vehicle for transportation to all sites (in Edmonton and Leduc only).
Your Responsibilities:
Coordinates with the clinical education team to ensure consistent delivery of staff training and education through hands-on learning to care staff.
Ensures the delivery of quality resident care and excellence in nursing practice by enhancing staff development, orientation, and education in the clinical areas.
Observes the quality of resident care in nursing practice to ensure clinical competencies and practices are maintained at each site.
Provides support, guidance and recommendations to Site Managers and Directors of Care for each site.
Provides regular individual and group coaching sessions and feedback to clinical staff regarding practice.
Provides leadership and coordination in the implementation and facilitation of Butterfly projects and other initiatives, in partnership with the Clinical Services Manager and clinical education team.
* Participates in the development and implementation of clinical policies and practice for the organization ensuring alignment with the company strategic direction.
