Your Opportunity:As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the experienced peri-operative RN has focused skills in a variety of services that would include: Urology, General Surgery, Thoracic, Plastic/ Oral Maxiofacial Surgery, Neurosurgery and Orthopedics. Both scheduled (elective) and unscheduled (emergency) surgery is performed and the position requires the incumbent to do on-call shifts. The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care during the peri-operative patient experience following hospital policies and standards. It is expected that the incumbent can provide leadership in clinical practice through the management of patient care, and anticipate the needs of the patient including ensuring equipment and supplies are available for the required cases. The RN assumes responsibility and acts as a resource for staff skill development and support. As a leader and role model, the individual must demonstrate a professional, positive attitude, excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills and can contribute to quality initiatives and promote a professional work environment at all times.Description:As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being.
