Responsibilities:
Conduct basic mental health assessments
Administer OAT (Opioid Agonist Therapy) such as Suboxone, Kadian, or Methadone
Collaborate effectively with Surrey Police Services team members
Perform basic health assessments and monitor patient well-being
Manage medications and assist with basic medication administration
Provide basic wound care and ensure timely treatment
Respond to emergency situations with Basic Life Support (BLS) level care until paramedics arrive
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must hold a valid license in British Columbia
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with an emphasis on empathy and patient care
Independence: Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative approach
Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure
Experience: Previous experience in Emergency or Critical Care is an asset but not required. Minimum 1 year expierence working in a Canadian Health Care facility.
Basic computer proficiency required; experience with electronic charting.
Must be available for NIGHT SHIFTS 19-07.
Must be available for a minimum of 4 - 6 shifts per month.
