We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and therapeutic care to clients. As a Massage Therapist, you will utilize your expertise in various massage techniques to enhance the physical and mental well-being of our clients, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to meet the individual needs of clients, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on their specific needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding their treatment options, aftercare recommendations, and any concerns they may have.
Uphold cleanliness and organization in the treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
Stay informed about new massage techniques and industry trends to continuously improve skills and service offerings.
Collaborate with other wellness professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients.
Care and purchase of own sheets, including washing/drying at home
Qualifications
Valid Provincial licensure or certification in Massage Therapy (2200 hours minimum).
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred to enhance communication with healthcare professionals when necessary.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
Interest in community outreach and/or educational events
Previous experience in a spa or clinical setting is an advantage but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
