We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires effective communication skills to assess clients' needs and deliver tailored treatments that promote relaxation and healing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
- Provide a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massages.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate aftercare practices.
- Keep accurate records of client sessions, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and medical terminology to enhance service quality.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and positive client experiences.
Requirements
- Valid certification or license in massage therapy.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training in massage techniques.
