Job Description

Responsibilities:

Delivering Premium Massage Services:

Provide a range of exceptional massage treatments, including therapeutic, deep tissue, Stress - relief, and Relaxation massages, along with any additional services outlined in our spa menu (e.g., Hot Shell Massage, lymphatic drainage, Body Treatment or signature treatments unique to Spa by Valmont). Each service must be tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of hotel guests and spa clients, all in adherence with Forbes luxury service standards.

Conducting Pre-Treatment Consultations:

Perform comprehensive consultations before each session to assess the guest's wellness goals, health history, and personal preferences, ensuring a customized and safe experience.

Maintaining Treatment Room Standards:

Ensure the treatment room is always immaculate, serene, and adhering strictly to Spa by Valmont's high standards of luxury and cleanliness. Prepare the treatment room with precision and care prior to each guest's arrival, maintaining a tranquil, clean, and fully equipped space that aligns with the standards of Spa by Valmont and Forbes Five-Star expectations. This includes replenishing supplies, sanitizing surfaces, adjusting ambiance, and ensuring all tools and amenities are guest-ready.

Scheduling and Availability Management

: Manage your own availability proactively while coordinating with the spa manager and the Spa front desk team to ensure smooth appointment scheduling and optimal guest service, and we require 1 month of availability if possible. Arrive 30 minutes before the start of the first appointment of the day.

Adhering to Hygiene and Safety Protocols

: Follow all spa protocols, hygiene procedures, and RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) regulations in alignment with hotel health and safety standards.

Providing Aftercare and Wellness Advice:

Offer thoughtful post-treatment care recommendations, including wellness tips, home care routines, and suggestions for future treatments to support long-term guest wellness.

Maintaining Accurate Documentation:

Complete and securely store all required documentation, such as health intake forms and treatment notes, in a confidential, accurate, and professional manner. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Spa Manager.

Job Requirements



New grads with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) registration. Current registration and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Any experience as a massage therapist in a luxury spa/health club is an asset. Knowledge of various massage treatments and techniques is an asset. Demonstrated ability to deliver services that align with Forbes Five-Star and luxury hospitality standards. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse clientele in a professional, empathetic, and polished manner. Strong commitment to confidentiality, guest privacy, and ethical professional practice. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
