Job Summary

Shawnee Physiotherapy and Massage Clinic Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them achieve relaxation and relief from tension. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.

Duties

Perform various types of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, therapeutic tailored to individual client needs. Assess client conditions through consultation and observation to determine appropriate treatment plans. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend self-care practices for continued wellness. Document client sessions accurately, including any relevant medical terminology or observations that may impact future treatments. Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist. Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and body mechanics. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple clients' needs. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends. experience in Cupping, hot stone, lymphatic drainage technique Qualifications: Massage Therapy Diploma at least 2200 hours training required from a Canadian Massage Therapy school. Registered with MTAA, CRMTA, CMMOTA, NHPC and license has to be in good standing

Pay: $36.79-$60.00 per hour
