Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their needs and deliver tailored massage therapies that promote relaxation, healing, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough client assessments to understand individual needs and preferences. Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massages. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their treatment plans and any necessary adjustments during sessions. Document client progress and any relevant medical history using appropriate medical terminology. Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients before, during, and after treatments. Stay updated on industry trends and continue professional development through training and workshops.

Qualifications

Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy. Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and modalities. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff. Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred to ensure accurate documentation. Previous experience in a customer service role is an advantage. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in practice.
