Job Description

We are looking to hire a licensed Kinesiologist or physiotherapist resident, that can work part-time in our very family-oriented clinic located in Brampton. This opportunity could potentially grow to a full-time position as well. We are a multidisciplinary group of healthcare providers and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, committed, and loves being part of the team. Hours will include evenings and Saturday morning/afternoon.

Qualifications



You have previous experience within a private clinic setting (considered an asset) Excellent client service skills Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure Understanding of hydrotherapy and active therapy Strong hands and willing to learn new techniques Knowledge of manual therapy Fast learner and well organized Ability to encourage clients, Positive helpful attitude, Excellent time management skills and reliability Knowledge of the equipment and materials used in the provision of PT treatments Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills Ability to solve problems and seek guidance of when appropriate Ability to deal effectively with difficult clients and conflicting situations Ability to function in a stressful environment while maintaining professional demeanour Standard First/Aid Basic Rescuer Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.) certification

Educational Requirement



At a minimum completion of a recognized post-secondary Physiotherapy Assistant certificate program; Kinesiology degree an asset.

Primary Responsibilities



Assist the physiotherapist by undertaking various components of the treatment plans for clients Manage the initial client intake and assessment, identify the problem and discuss the goals and client centered treatment plans moving forward and implement accordingly not required but has a certificate in Dry Needling/Acupuncture Comfortable with modalities such as IFC and shockwave Comfortable with active exercise for patients Carry a full patient load Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after treatments Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a client's status or treatment interventions Follow all established COVID-19 protocols of the Practice, and as directed by Public Health.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
