Job Description

RECE, position from 7:15 - 9:15 AM & 3:15 - 6:15 PM (split shift), Monday to Friday, in the After Four Children's Enrichment Program (ACE). The ACE Before and After School Program is located in Our Lady of Wisdom, 10 Japonica Road, Scarborough, ON, M1P 4R7. The Contract position term is for the duration of the school year. The contract may be eligible for renewal for the 2023/2024 school year.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate, reporting to the COO and Assistant COO will plan and implement a morning program of indoor and outdoor activities in collaboration with another RECE. The program will be based upon the Four Foundations of How Does Learning Happen, Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years. All ACE policies and protocols will be followed on a daily basis to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children. The afternoon program consists of RECE staff assisting during enrichment program activities organized by qualified program providers.

Qualifications and Skills

The candidate must have a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and be a member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators.

The candidate must have a current Police Reference Check for the Vulnerable sector.

The candidate must have a current Standard Class C CPR and First Aid Certificate
