REGISTERED DIETITIAN - A1 Aqua Palliative & A2 West Complex Continuing Care - MRHH

Permanent Part- Time

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the provision of nutritional care for patients as established by the College of Dietitians of Ontario and the hospitals\xe2\x80\x99 standards of nutrition care. The Registered Dietitian actively participates within the healthcare team and collaborates with other Registered Dietitians to ensure effective and current dietetic practice and achieve excellence in patient care.

What must you have?

  • Current Registration and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Graduate of a recognized university program (majoring in food and nutrition) and successful completion of a Dietetic Internship or Practicum.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
  • Ability to work with patients on an individual basis and providing an educational group
  • Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic treatment

  • Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive assessment and nutritional care planning in the inpatient setting.

  • Ensures and maintains patient confidentiality
  • Proven attendance record.

  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferably, your profile also includes:
  • Two (2) years clinical experience
  • Previous experience with oncology and palliative patient populations
  • Strong experience with TPN and Enteral nutrition
  • Ability to speak a second language
