Overview

Chinook Village Dental and Rundle Dental are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: - can be discussed

Chinook Village Dental: Wed 12-8, Fri 9-5, Sun 9-5

Rundle Dental: Tues 12-8, Sat 9-5

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventative care techniques. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Cleardent software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations. Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area. Work with pediatric patients, creating a welcoming environment that encourages good dental habits from an early age.

Skills

Proficiency in using Cleardent and MaxAssist or similar dental practice management software is preferred. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and address their needs. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience working in a dental office setting is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are an asset, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations. A passion for working with children in a pediatric setting is beneficial for engaging young patients.

Pay: $58.00-$68.00 per hour
