Position Overview

Multiple Positions Available

We are seeking dedicated Caregivers (registered Care Aids) to provide non-medical home support to seniors. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for helping others, strong reliability, and flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Duties

Provide personal care and companionship to seniors, including: Bathing, dressing, grooming, Alzheimer's & dementia care, Meal planning and preparation, Light housekeeping, Medication reminders Communicate promptly with the office and uphold professional boundaries Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policies (PIPA) Adhere to WorkSafeBC safety rules and report incidents immediately Bathing, dressing, grooming Alzheimer's & dementia care Meal planning and preparation Light housekeeping, laundry, and linen care Medication reminders Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments Follow written care plans and maintain accurate electronic documentation Engage with seniors in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Offer companionship and emotional support to seniors, fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Assist individuals with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

Minimum three years' prior experience and training in senior care Ability to travel within Greater Victoria and work flexible hours Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Clear vulnerable sector criminal background check Active registration or eligible to immediately register with BC Care Aid and Community Health Worker registry Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties, including lifting or transferring residents when necessary.
