Responsibilities A Health Care Aide (HCA) works as a member of the care team, collaborating on the delivery of resident care, to meet individual needs within her/his level of knowledge, skillsets & competency. The HCA, under the supervision of a regulated nursing professional, including Community Care RN Case Managers where applicable, applies this knowledge and these skills in order to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents. Under the supervision of a regulated nursing professional, HCAs shall be utilized to support the care team as defined by the most current Provincial Health Care Aide Competency Profile (e.g. medication assistance, ADLs: dressing and undressing).
