Reporting to the Country Service Manager, the Regional Sales / Relationship Manager will promote and support the service of ventilation equipment for the commercial food service industry, working closely with Halton mechanical representatives, food service consultants, mechanical engineers and end users. This position manages after sales of parts, provision of service, promoting contracts and marketing activities within a defined geographic Canadian region in line with established authority levels and seeks out new customers for service. Furthermore, this position works with all levels of the organization and serves as a liaison between the customer in the field and the company, particularly service, engineering, finance and manufacturing. The Regional Sales / Relationship Manager's activities and skills are pivotal to succeeding in this mission. This position offers a base salary plus incentives such as commission and/or bonuses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in developing a sales and marketing plan for the assigned territory.
Implement and carry out the sales and marketing plan.
Work closely with the service sales manager.
Promote maintenance contracts to owners/operators.
Promote monitoring contracts to owners/operators.
Handle calls and email from customers concerning Halton products.
Direct, assist and support service technicians in the area.
Coordinate with the team and schedule technicians to job sites to resolve field issues.
Report feedback from the field supporting activities to improve quality and service processes.
Occasionally attend Pre-Commissioning meetings: onsite coordination with trades for Halton equipment installation.
Occasionally complete CARE visits: onsite training sessions for end users.
Owner/Operator training (warranty activation, how to service the system, how to operate the touch screens and how the system works and saves energy).
Act as a liaison between customers in the field and service department and/or the manufacturing facility.
Promote the specification and sales of product by providing technical direction to customers.
Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of service contracts to the end customer.
Support preparation for start-up and commissioning.
Provide reports and quotations as required to satisfy customer requirements.
Completion of summaries and reports as required.
Flexibility to facilitate travel and some evening and weekend commitments.
Manage travel expenses to fit within set budget.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and command credibility in the field.
Technical skills related to the HVAC, mechanical and electrical trades is an asset.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Fluent in English.
Post-secondary technical or business degree/diploma.
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering experience an asset.
Experienced with Microsoft Office programs and MRP systems.
Familiar with Salesforce and/or NetSuite is an asset.
Must reside in the Vancouver area or be willing to relocate.
