The Opportunity:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing both internal and external Account Managers across wide geographic areas.

  • Make recommendations to improve sales function on a regular basis, while maintaining and improving the company image and brand
  • Manage the trade shows and various events throughout the geographic region
  • Recruit, retain and constantly improve the talent of sales professionals through dedicated coaching and joint field work
  • Create and foster teamwork between sales and underwriting units
  • Coordinate and attend networking functions on a regular basis inside and outside of normal working hours
  • Manage the compensation program for Internal and External Account Managers
  • Maintain key relationships with key business partners and senior management
  • Complete special projects and duties as assigned
The Requirements Needed:
  • Strong organizational skills, including project management and the ability to undertake and complete multiple, concurrent tasks
  • Competency in Microsoft Office; capacity to learn new technologies/systems
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral), including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles to communicate messages that have the desired effect
  • Strong customer service skills, with a high aptitude for building client relationships
  • Provide effective coaching, mentoring and development planning to staff to ensure their success
  • Skilled at motivating team members to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Moderate travel will be required
  • Post-secondary education preferred with a focus on sales or business and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in mortgage brokering, branch management and managing a mobile sales force
