The Off-the-Road (OTR) Regional Sales Manager will enhance Goodyear\'s OTR market share by concentrating on sales & basic technical support pointedly on mining accounts with an assigned geographic area. Emphasis will be given to other key end user accounts as well as all OTR dealers.

The role will work with major end-user accounts & OTR distributors in an assigned regional territory. Also, coordinate efforts with North America regional business units to sell OTR products at a profit & increase ROI.

Primary Responsibilities #LI-JK1

  • Setup & maintain performance records of the Goodyear OTR product to better understand CPH at the operation & to keep end-users informed
  • Grow the distribution channel in weak markets by expanding existing distribution from another market or signing a new distributor to maximize all growth opportunities
  • Monitor & audit all assigned job site consignments semiannually to annually
  • Manage the distribution of OTR tires through existing distributors & where a shortfall exists in market share, help to establish new distribution
  • Prepare & provide detailed technical reports, analyzing the operating conditions of the mine & what tire would properly fit the requirements to the account management & Goodyear sales management
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of actual "hands on" experience with large OTR tires operating at the mines
  • Experience with product service & warranties
  • Experience working with dealers or in the commercial divisions would be necessary. Commercial/OTR tire mounting & dismounting experience
  • Experience speaking in front of an audience
Desired Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
  • Bilingual English French an asset
  • Knowledge of tire application & mining industry
  • Understanding of Goodyear\'s products, applications, competitive products & competitive strategies
  • Good communication, excellent interpersonal & time management skills as well as management of people skills
  • Problem identification & solution skills. Able to travel extensively
  • Strong Microsoft Suite knowledge & skills for various reports & presentations
