Summary:The primary goal of this role is to grow business in the Canadian market.

Assume responsibility for film & material sales while working with other Regional Sales Managers, Film & Materials, and being supported by both the inside sales team and the Regional Sales Managers, as appropriate.

Support Multivac's sales efforts to close new business opportunities in film & materials by collaborating with the Sales, Product and Factory teams when needed, and with Customers to first understand the practical requirements of the customers packaging needs, and then define the best application solution to fulfil the customers' requirements.

This position has an existing customer base in film sales to be built upon. This role will use prior experience to guide interactions with current and potential customers, building their trust by using industry knowledge and experience.

Time Utilization:


This position requires travel between 50-75% of the time. Normal business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate customer expectations and demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Include the following, other duties may be assigned:

Work closely with Brampton office and any approved third party suppliers in the development of new products, and provide market input regarding issues with existing product line. Work with other Regional Sales Managers, Film & Materials to formulate realistic sales budgets for product categories. Identify current competitive and alternative systems and disseminating information, as necessary. Identify markets that could benefit from the use of existing or expanded products in selected areas. Operate within annual expense budget and work to meet established individual sales budget. Attend internal and external meetings, as required by Other Regional Sales Managers, Film & Materials. Stay current with new potential applications across Canada. Communicate these potential applications to the sales team. Be an active student of Multivac, our industry, our partners, our suppliers, our competition. Participate in Multivac Canada corporate initiatives as requested.

Education/Experience:

Completed post-secondary education and at least 2-5 years related sales experience. 5-10 years of equivalent experience in sales of film & materials in the food or commercial industry. A minimum of five (5) years' market/product experience. Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to establish priorities, set clear deliverables and multi-task under tight timelines and within a fast-paced and ever changing environment.

Language Ability:


Must have an excellent command of English languages with effective written/verbal communication and presentation skills in both languages. Bilingual in French is an asset.

Computer Skills:


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a high proficiency Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as in previous experience with CRM customer management software.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must provide a clear criminal background check for customer food safety legislation compliance, and the ability to be able to travel domestically and internationally (with valid passport), as required, for Company projects and training. Must provide a current valid driver's license and driver's abstract (upon request).
