Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading, developing, and holding accountable a team of Territory Managers across British Columbia. This role blends field-based coaching, structured sales management, and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with company goals and the Powerhouse culture.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of Territory and Sales Managers.
Conduct structured weekly sales meetings with KPIs, pipeline reviews, and action tracking.
Establish monthly 1:1 sessions with each rep to review performance and development goals.
Provide hands-on field coaching through joint customer visits.
Develop and deliver sales presentations and programs as needed.
Sales Strategy & Operations
Ensure opportunities, quotes, and forecasts are accurately updated in CRM systems.
Align team activity with company strategy, territory goals, and budgets.
Analyze sales performance vs. targets and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain dashboards and standardized reporting to track results.
Assist senior management with territory budgets, forecasts, and projections.
Drive accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
Customer & Partner Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers, and contractors.
Support Territory Managers on strategic accounts and escalated issues.
Onboard new customers and resolve service issues promptly.
Provide input on dealer programs and buying group initiatives.
Attend trade shows and regional events as required.
Collaborate with operations, marketing, and supply chain to support promotions, slow-moving stock, and product launches.
Market & Product Development
Monitor market and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
Ensure the sales team maintains strong technical knowledge of Powerhouse products.
Evaluate and support new product introductions and growth strategies.
Collaborate with marketing on improved materials and sales programs.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
Weekly sales meetings running on a structured agenda with tracked action items.
Individual Development Plans (IDPs) created for each team member.
Clear progress in accountability, customer engagement, and team culture alignment.
Measurable improvement in sales growth and territory performance.
What You Bring
5+ years leading outside sales teams in building materials, manufacturing, or distribution.
Strong background in CRM tools, sales reporting, and structured sales process.
Proven ability to build culture, coach performance, and drive change.
Confident in customer-facing communication and negotiation.
Familiarity with B2B distribution (dealers, builders, commercial buyers).
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, finance, and marketing.
Technical understanding of building materials and market dynamics.
A Kaizen or continuous improvement mindset is a strong asset.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
Powerhouse Grade 4 position, $90,000-$120,000 CAD (commensurate with experience).
Bonus Structure:
Performance-based quarterly targets.
