Can you provide strategic guidance and advice, leverage relationships and contribute to solving complex problems? If so, consider this exciting opportunity to provide leadership in support of resource management and development programs and projects with the ministry.

The Northwest Region

spans over half a million square kilometers, with more than 90% Crown land, vast forests, and extensive waterways. It includes diverse communities, with a strong Indigenous presence across four treaty areas. The region supports resource-based industries, including forestry, mining, renewable energy, and tourism, and experiences the majority of Ontario's wildfires. With significant land use planning, permitting, and resource management responsibilities, the Northwest plays a vital role in Ontario's economic and environmental landscape.

The Northeast Region

has a complex planning environment, with diverse natural resources and significant development pressures, covering both a Crown and privately-owned landscape. It covers four Ecoregions and the shores of two Great Lakes (Lake Huron and Lake Superior). It has a strong Indigenous presence including seven treaty areas and it contains multiple urban centres and rural communities.
