Our client, is a leading Provider of Remote site services including, Camp Catering, Housekeeping, Janitorial and Camp Supply and Management services to remote sites.

Currently we are recruiting for an Alberta/Manitoba, based;

REGIONAL MANAGER AB/MB

OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible to manage the efficient operation of the project(s), including but not limited to: compliance with client contracts, corporate policies and procedures and governmental regulations. You will ensure the safety of residents and personnel in addition to associated site corporate and client assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages portfolio in compliance with established company policies and procedures, and in conjunction with the Director of Operations guidance.
  • Ensure project and staff compliance with all company operating policies and procedures.
  • Ensure project and staff compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, this includes safety inspections, training and accident investigations.
  • Ensures consistent and equitable administration of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations.
  • Participate in all human resource and labour relations activities where applicable.
  • Observes typical service timings when visiting units and evaluates them for compliance to agreed SLA\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Performs operational audits of units and designs improvements to optimize financial performance, operational productivity, and to ensure conformance with government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record keeping.
  • Monitors and ensures development of realistic and accurate forecasts at the unit level.
  • Ensures that each unit\xe2\x80\x99s financial performance meets or exceeds company and client forecasts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
  • Continually Inspect premises, and food service areas, for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Assure contract compliance and ensure staff awareness of company\xe2\x80\x99s contractual obligations for the assigned projects.
  • Confirm weekly paperwork packets prepared accurately and timely in accordance with operations manual, client, and corporate requests.
  • Ensure that sales leads originating on site are followed up on and communicated back to Operations Director.
  • Continually review services with the object of reducing cost and increasing profitability without loss of standard.
  • Monitor labor cost to ensure compliance with budgets and provide to payroll weekly.
  • Assist company site teams as needed to support the project, to include boosting morale of crew.
  • Manage subcontractors, working with company management to draft contract agreements, and ensuring compliance with the agreement for approvals.
  • Oversee and/or prepare client billings, as requested. Follow-up on collections as required.
  • Participates actively in the sales process; conducts client negotiations and coordinates documentation of contract changes.
  • Manage & prepare contract Scope of Work, for approvals internally.
  • Maintain good client communications at project level.
  • Work with client to build relationship to retain contracts.
  • All other duties as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages every aspect of company business including the supervision of kitchen, housekeeping, janitorial, laundry, maintenance, medical, and security departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization\'s policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree preferred.
  • Five years of related management experience working in the service industry would be considered an asset.
  • Suitable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Possession of a Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and drivers abstract required.
  • Good knowledge of business terminology and practices, applicable legislation and laws, industry regulations, Occupational Health and Safety regulations required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze and interpret financial information and reports.
  • Considerable skill in time management, prioritizing and completing of time sensitive work assignments.
