Position Summary

The Regional Manager, Employee Records, Internal Recruitment and Benefits Administration is responsible and accountable for the overall management of the Human Resources Employee Records, Internal Recruitment and Benefits teams. The incumbent leads the development of new, innovative policies, procedures and leading practices and recommends and oversees the implementation of process improvement and service delivery for the designated areas. The incumbent collaborates with external and internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and government agencies to share information, clarify discrepancies, resolve problems, and address employee concerns. The manager participates as a member of the human resources leadership team to provide guidance, information, and support on departmental and organization-wide initiatives.

Starting salary will be approximately from $96,429 to $120,537 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Prince George has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. Qualifications



Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, plus five (5) to seven (7) years of recent related experience in multi-unionized environment.
Minimum of five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with human resource principles, practices and procedures including benefits and pension administration and applying terms of collective agreements.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to foster effective working relationships, both internal and external at all levels.
Ability to lead change and manage conflict.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to make presentations to groups.
Ability to utilize a customer service approach to staff and clients.
Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities or unforeseen opportunities.
Skilled in the use of computer applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to problem solve complex issues towards creative solutions.
Ability to set and maintain priorities, work under pressure and be results oriented.
Ability to supervise staff.
Knowledge of collective agreements, applicable legislation, and regulations.
Knowledge of characteristics and requirements of public sector pension and benefit plans
