Job Description

We are currently seeking a Regional Manager, Commercial Banking - Diversified to join our team.


The Regional Manager, Commercial Banking - Diversfied provides leadership, mentoring and direction to an assigned commercial banking team with accountability for business development, portfolio growth, credit application approvals, ensuring/maintaining compliance of all credit related activities and expense control management. This role provides leadership and direction to a team of commercial lending professionals and fosters a sales and service culture that promotes, refers, cross-sells FW products and services and develops lasting business relationships with existing and potential new commercial members.



Accountabilities



Leadership:

Provides leadership and direction to the team, through mentoring and training; ensures appropriate development of the skills and knowledge required to achieve assigned team targets. Cultivates and maintains a supportive and engaged work environment; participates in recruitment, retention and performance management related activities.

Business Development:

Identifies and seeks out opportunities to develop and enhance existing/new potential member relationships. Participates in industry, civic and community events to build a network of referral sources and to generate business leads, while promoting FW's brand.

Sales and Service Strategy:

Assists in the development and implementation of an annual sales and service strategy that aligns with the strategic direction of FW to achieve performance/profitability objectives; establishes annual goals and targets for team; monitors sales results and works with team to enhance sales and revises approach where required to ensure ongoing profitability, growth and mitigation of risk.

Risk Management:

Maintains compliance of policies and procedures with respect to audit and risk management; identifies and recommends solutions and tools to manage risk; expense control and monitor loan growth/fees and profitability as they relate to annual sales targets.

Credit Adjudication:

Reviews and approves loans within assigned limits; manages loan and portfolio credit quality ensuring all commercial lending activities are in accordance to established FW policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Regional Differentiation:



May be assigned a portfolio of commercial members


Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Commerce or equivalent combination of education and experience 6-7 years in senior commercial lending role or equivalent experience required Experience in a leadership capacity, preferably in commercial banking preferred Commercial credit adjudication experience preferred Demonstrated leadership attributes and/or experience motivating coaching a high performances sales team Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and grow revenue by successfully prospecting new business and retaining /expanding exiting member relationships Ability to partner with other lines of business, deepen relationships with members and provide holistic advice Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively with a variety of people Proficient in computer software programs e.g. Microsoft Office and banking software programs Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
