Reporting to the Regional Baffin Facilities Manager, the

Regional Maintenance Administrator

is responsible for the management, administration and technical accuracy of the system, ensuring all levels of Community & Government Services Management are provided with data for effective management decisions. The incumbent is required to arrange and administer vehicle maintenance and repair contracts.

In this key role you will review monthly statements of expenses, assist in equipment procurement and/or write-off process and review all tenders to ensure compliance with relevant specifications. You will also operate a computerized system to generate, revise and record work schedules to include all preventative, maintenance, planned projects and repairs, while considering the need for emergency repairs and unplanned work.

Your responsibilities will include supervising and providing training and assistance to the Facilities Management Clerk(s) in data-entry on Asset Planner, including work-order generation, materials requisition and control. You will manage the assembly and updating of the regional asset inventory to be incorporated into the MMOS. Additionally you will oversee Human Resources functions such as supervising subordinate staff, developing annual work plans and draft annual performance reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS



Your profile as a qualified Regional Maintenance Administrator will include the following highlights:



A recognized post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or a similar program. Three (3) years of related experience. Computer experience. Working experience on contract tendering and financial management. Supervisory and contract employees experience.

Assets:



Facilities Management Professional Certification. Ability to communicate in Inuktitut/Inuinnaqtun.

NOTE:

This is a Position of Trust, and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.

Compensation & Benefits



This indeterminate position is included in the Nunavut Employees Union and offers a salary range of

$93,841 to $106,528

per year (for 37.5 hours/week), plus a Northern Allowance of $28,577 per annum. Note: Subsidized staff housing is available.
