Working here is your opportunity to shape an industry that\xe2\x80\x99s vital to us all.Job Summary:The Regional Director, Specialty Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing the entire pharmacy clinical and operational teams, including pharmacy assistants/caseworkers, regulated pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, supervisors, managers within their specific pharmacy site, as well as directly manage the Sr. Pharmacy Managers at the other provincial pharmacy sites within their respective region. The Regional Director for Eastern Canada will be directly responsible for one of the provincial sites within their region (Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Newfoundland) and have the other provincial site Sr. Pharmacy Managers reporting directly into them. The Regional Director role has accountability for the overall performance and success of Specialty Pharmacy in alignment with the vision and priorities of Biopharma & Provider Solutions. The incumbent must have a passion for business, solid clinical and operational experience, and make a difference by leading and developing the specialty pharmacy team to build accountability, drive business results and provide exceptional patient care. The Regional Director role will be back-up for the other Sr. Managers within their region and back up for the other Regional Director role as required. The Regional Director role is a successor role for the Sr. Director, Specialty Pharmacy.Section A \xe2\x80\x93 Specific Responsibilities:Oversees the regional pharmacy operations and provides direction on pharmacy activities and projects within the pharmacy and in the region.Leads the pharmacy team in the implementation and execution of department policies and procedures consistent with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s mission and care philosophy and in collaboration with other Specialty Pharmacy Leadership nationally.Effectively manages and supports the Sr. Pharmacy Managers within their region.Participates in the planning and execution of the pharmacy\xe2\x80\x99s goals and oversees the function of programs/services consistent with them.Promotes and ensures that the highest quality of care is provided to patients and families.Collaborates with other business units to grow the Biopharma & Provider Solutions division.P&L accountability for dispensing revenue, margin, profitability, and financial KPIs, including all operational expenses related to the pharmacies.Key responsibility for accurate monthly pharmacy inventory and reconciliation, compliance and process audits.Accounts Receivable accountabilities and collaborating with Finance on collections including managing payor audits to reduce and eliminate claw back risk.Manage pharma partner activities at the Pharmacy including client presentations, audits and tours.People management responsibilities including performance management, talent recruitment, engagement and retention with emphasis on coaching, mentoring and supporting provincial pharmacy managers.Provides leadership in key clinical therapeutic areas of Ophthalmology, Immunology, Neurology and Oncology.Ensures QA policies involving drug storage and patient deliveries are followed.Maintains relationship with provincial licensing body specific to province and ensures all standards are followed by all staff.Coordinates sharing of staff remotely or in person to optimize staff utilization and minimize cost.Work with INVIVA, Provider\xe2\x80\x99s Solutions and the navigation team to address any issues that arise.A strong people leader that promotes collaboration and teamwork within the region, pharmacy and other business units.Actively engages, collaborates and works on projects with other Sr. Pharmacy Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents as part of the overall Specialty Pharmacy organization.Operate and promote behaviours that uphold McKesson i2Care and iLead principles.Ensure company policies and regulatory standards are at the foremost of all activities and decisions.Contribute to fiscal year budgets for both drug revenue projections and OPEX for all sites within the region.Executing additional national projects as they may arise.Business Development. Lead key projects within the region to grow each business unit.Attend conferences to gain knowledge and solidify working relationships with navigation, providers solutions, clinics and physicians.Provides operational support as the first layer of approvals for requests from other Pharmacy Managers within the region.Section B \xe2\x80\x93 Key Requirements:Knowledge:Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.A valid Part A license in good standing with the applicable College of Pharmacists.Ability to assess and understand financial reports and business reports.Proficient in using Microsoft applications to present and manipulate data.Possess strong working knowledge of Kroll and its capabilities.Experience:Previous experience in Specialty Pharmacy or related field.5+ years of people and progressive pharmacy management experience.Skills and Abilities:Time management skills to ensure business timelines are met.Excellent customer service and be able to set the same expectation from the rest of the team.Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.Must be able to build relationships with key physicians as well as their clinic staff.Exercises sound knowledge and good judgment.Accountable and results oriented.Able to travel as business needs arise; possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.Strong leadership skills, can lead, inspire, mentor, develop and guide a team.#LI-AR2At McKesson, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people.
