About the job

In this role, you will:
Promote, market and deliver a wide variety of government funding programs, and provide economic, community development and capacity building services to local organizations, including First Nations communities
Work with stakeholders to deliver community and economic development initiatives, including workshops, training and information sessions
Provide consultative advice, information and resources to local communities
Provide analyses and recommendations to management on local issues and concerns
Lead projects, and conduct research and analysis to support the ministry's business planning and decision making processes
What you bring to the team

Mandatory requirements
You have a valid class G Ontario driver's license or equivalent as recognized by the province of Ontario
Technical Knowledge
You have knowledge of government grant programs, as well, program design, development, implementation and evaluation techniques for community and economic development programs
You have knowledge of organizational capacity, community, and economic development, the tourism industry as well as cultural and social development programs and consultation practices
You have knowledge of the structure and dynamics of geographic, social and economic communities, and the operations of not for profit and for profit organizations
Financial, Analytical and Project Management Skills
You have knowledge of financial analysis and accounting principles
You can provide information on grant programs; assess, recommend and evaluate financial assistance of government grant applications within audit and accountability standards
You have knowledge of project management methodology to coordinate and lead projects.
Communications, Interpersonal and Relationship Building Skills
You can develop and deliver presentation and training materials, including the design and production of resource materials, workbooks, manuals and handouts
You can provide consultative advice to stakeholders within both private and public sectors
You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Training Skills
You have knowledge of training techniques and principles to develop and deliver a range of workshops, training and information sessions
