Regional Aftersales Business Development Specialists (RADS)



The Regional Aftersales Business Development Specialists (RADS) will work with BMW Canada dealerships within an assigned territory for the purpose of improving service retention and customer-pay profitability. This is a business development and facilitator role that will place primary emphasis on a candidate's ability to sell the business case for change (marketing program adoption and sustainment; direct accessory sales; etc.).

The RADS will work in close collaboration with client field leadership and peer field resources, the DEKRA project team, and most importantly, the Retailer, to develop and execute individual Retailer improvement plans that exceed target KPIs. The RADS performance will contribute to client and Retailers' overall service retention and customer-pay profitability goals.

We are looking for individuals highly proficient with developing relationships; creating the business case for 'why'; and overcoming objections with data and

Best Practices. While previous experience calling on automotive dealerships is preferred, it is not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Execute DEKRA's territory management and market segmentation processes in assigned region. Within a Team environment, collaborate and facilitate the development and execution of improvement action plans to achieve specific service retention and customer-pay profitability improvement goals (service marketing program adoption; accessories, tires, chemicals; etc.) Develop credibility and consultative relationships with assigned Retailers. Develop and present business case for recommended actions. Follow-up with Retailers and peer field resources to facilitate action plan completion and goal achievement. Meet or exceed territory and individual dealership performance objectives. Gather, share, and educate Retailer personnel on Retailer network Best Practices.

Skills, Abilities and Attributes Required:



Ability to build rapport, earn credibility and effectively communicate with all levels of dealership employees and client field leadership. Excellent communication skills, with primary emphasis on influencing without direct authority and on managing and coordinating the completion of action plans with multiple stakeholders are a PLUS. Excellent analytical skills, the ability to read and analyze system generated performance reports from client and Retailer systems. Ability to organize and present findings to dealership management, client field team and project management team. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a highly dynamic and changing field environment. Strong attention to detail, time management, and decision-making skills. Must always display professional and ethical conduct. Skilled user of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Willingness to travel extensively within a specific geographic territory.

Education and Experience Required:



Minimum 3-4 years' work experience selling products or services to accounts in a defined territory. Prior familiarity with automotive dealership operations is a PLUS. College degree (business or related field) or equivalent work experience is required. Ability to speak English/French fluently.
