Job Description

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude who can effectively handle physical and manual work in an industrial environment, and can make a positive contribution to the team.

What this job involves:

Operation of induction furnaces. Buffing, grinding, and cleaning of finished metal products. Able to handle chemicals and acids in a safe manner. Cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment. Transporting large barrels of batch process material using material handling equipment several times per shift. Repetitive manual scooping of material from cells. Monitoring and treating large chemical batch processes. Heavy repetitive lifting of up to 60lbs on a frequent basis. Perform work in a safe manner, able to wear appropriate PPE, and follow all safety policies and procedures. Performs other job-related tasks as required.

What we are looking for:

Two years experience in an industrial manufacturing / production environment performing physical / manual work. Experience working with chemicals and acids in an industrial setup, with a strong background in adhering to safety protocols. Able to lift up to 60lbs on a repetitive basis. Previous experience working with molten metals within a melting, foundry or casting environment preferred Must be able to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and nights) and weekends as required on full time basis. Must be comfortable working within a hot environment and wearing personal protective equipment. Experience driving a forklift is an asset. Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with team members. Good mathematical skills.
