Red Seal Journeyman/woman Plumber, two positions- (Construction & Service Technician)

We specialize in construction and service across tenant improvements, retail spaces, restaurants, and breweries throughout the Lower Mainland. From the initial design to the finishing touches, we are a full-service mechanical contractor that specializes in new construction and tenant improvements, offering services in plumbing, heating. Meridian West Mechanical is currently hiring for

two Red Seal Journeyman/woman Plumber positions (Construction & Service Technician)

to join their dynamic team.

What You'll Do

Maintain attention to detail and uphold safety and code compliance Use personal tools to complete daily tasks (tools required) Troubleshoot, install, and service plumbing systems in commercial settings Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing Measure cut thread and bend pipes to the required shape and size

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly wage: $43.00-$52.00 (base salary, plus 10% vacation pay) Competitive employer contribution RRSP plan (after three months at $2/hr capped at 80 hours per pay period) Minimum 40 hours/week with overtime available Extended health & dental benefits after 3 months (Includes life insurance, disability, vision, and dental) 3 weeks' paid vacation to start

Qualifications and Requirements:

Red Seal Journeyman/woman certification (required) Minimum 3 years' plumbing experience Strong understanding of water distribution, disposal systems, soldering, and retrofitting General knowledge of HVAC systems Ability to meet physical demands of the role Valid driver's license and clean criminal record Secondary school education preferred

Schedule

Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts Expected hours: 40 per week
