As the
Lead, Shop Mechanic
you will report to the Logistics Manager, and be based out of Fort Nelson, BC. The role will be Monday to Friday as well as weekend coverage when required. This position is responsible for ensuring the company equipment is well maintained and repaired, meeting all standards and requirements, and that defects are resolved expeditiously and that internal customer questions are resolved in a timely manner.
Compensation:
$47-57/hr

What You'll Need:
Red Seal Certification
CDL/Class 1 License preferred
Safety mindset
A collaborative mindset- contributing to a positive, respectful work culture
A commitment to understanding and supporting company goals, objectives and KPI's
CVI certification preferred
Cryogenic equipment experience is an asset
Flexibility to complete service calls
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience in 24/7 operations (transport industry preferred)
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
Willingness to learn and adapt
o What You'll Do
Prioritize safety on all work tasks
Responsible for ensuring, maintaining, and promoting safe & efficient work practices
Ensures company policy is always followed in accordance with the Company ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management System.
Responsible to report any safety issues, incidents, or gaps in the Quality Management System
Respectful team-player that leads with professionalism and integrity
Takes pride in always maintaining and enforcing a safe and clean work area
Maintains tools
Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs timely and efficiently
Preform preventive maintenance of fleet/equipment
Interface with internal customers, drivers, and other company personnel; communicating effectively and professionally with a spirit of teamwork
Maintaining organization and detailed records of repair
Maintain parts inventory
Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
Provide service summary to drivers and ensure all checks and balances are performed before returning to vehicle to operations
Travel to project sites to support site operations as required
Support plant operations as required
