Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic

to join our maintenance team and keep our fleet of equipment in top operational condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, service, and repair a range of heavy-duty construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, trucks, and trailers Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks according to manufacturer standards Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Maintain accurate service records and logs Communicate with operators and supervisors regarding equipment status, repairs, and timelines Assist with parts ordering and inventory control Work both in-shop and in the field for on-site equipment support

Qualifications:

Red Seal Certification

as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (required) Minimum 3 years of related experience in heavy equipment service and repair Valid Class 5 license (Class 3 or 1 considered an asset) Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines Welding or fabrication skills considered an asset Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a shop or outdoor setting
