We are currently hiring for the position of:

Red Carpet Placement Coordinators



The Toronto International Film Festival communications team is seeking two Red Carpet Placement Coordinators, responsible for the daily task of assigning and managing media positions across four high-profile red carpets during the Festival. This is a high-volume, detail-intensive role that requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and organize daily red carpet RSVP submissions from accredited media outlets Assign media outlets to appropriate carpet positions based on editorial priority, outlet needs, and space limitations Collaborate closely with publicists, talent teams, and media partners to ensure accurate placements Maintain detailed records for all four carpets Provide real-time updates and resolve conflicts or changes swiftly and diplomatically Manage red carpet RSVP system, email and process with time sensitive deadlines Other duties as required

JOB GRADE & SALARY:

Job Grade 1 Job Grade Salary Range 24.00/ hr

WORK LOCATION:

Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5 Festival Requirements: Full Time during Festival

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Familiar with entertainment media including Canadian, US, Int'l is preferred Familiarity with film festivals or major entertainment events. Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail. Able to handle a very tight deadline and multiple different carpets that require scheduling. Excellent communication, judgement, and problem-solving abilities. Experience in database systems, event planning, or media coordination is an asset. Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office is preferred


Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends
Must be available to work all days of the Toronto International Film Festival
