Take an inside look at what you\xe2\x80\x99ll do each day:

  • Conducting full-cycle recruitment including placing job ads, building applicant pools, developing sourcing strategies, interviewing and short-listing candidates, managing candidates throughout the recruitment cycle, negotiating offers, conducting reference checks and presenting job offers.
  • Partnering with co-op and practicum programs for high school and university students. This includes building relationship with institutions, career centres, and faculty representatives
  • Identifying recruitment and selection issues and developing proactive solutions
  • Assisting and implementing recruitment strategies; out of box thinking
  • Coordinating and representing the company at career fairs and other events; engaging the public and promoting brand awareness
  • Proactively recruiting, sourcing and engaging with high caliber talent
  • Exploring HR and industry best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve systems and processes
  • Networking and partnering with initiatives to drive recruitment outcomes and increase the candidate pool
  • Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires
  • Attend and assist in coordinating company events which is a huge part of the Para Space culture and retention
  • Coordinate employee contests, content for our Friday newsletter \xe2\x80\x9cPara Verse\xe2\x80\x9d, surveys, and more that have a direct impact on culture
  • You may be involved with other miscellaneous tasks/projects as required

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office, ATS and HRIS. Comfortable with spreadsheets/data analysis
  • General knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, BC Labour Code, Labour Relations etc.
  • Ability to meet weekly recruitment quotas
  • Punctual, trustworthy and reliable
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong business correspondence writing skills
  • Positive and professional team attitude
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management/organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain talent pools
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and projects in a high-volume environment with tight deadlines
  • Awareness of the current labour market and demonstrated skills at developing recruitment strategies that support business requirements
