Commissionaires services over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the federal government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment the Recruitment Specialist will play a pivotal role within our operations and HR team ensuring that we have the right staff in place to service our client contracts in both the Lower Mainland and Interior BC.

Major Responsibilities

  • Executes full cycle recruitment (postings, screening, interviewing, reference checking, offer letters preparation and presentation, all paperwork/administrative processes, on boarding etc) for a designated portfolio of business across the Lower Mainland and Interior BC
  • Submit candidate criminal checks and government of Canada security clearance processing
  • Books new hire into New Employee Orientation and any other required training sessions.
  • Creates, revises and posts Guard Division jobs internally and externally (community newspapers, websites, etc) plus any other advertising for BC Guards
  • Represents Commissionaires at local recruitment campaigns, career fairs, etc.
  • Using and maintaining the ATS system (JazzHR)
  • Cross departmental collaboration for continuous improvement
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Education & Knowledge

Education: post-secondary degree or diploma desired.

Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience within a high volume recruitment environment.

Skills and Requirements
  • Previous experience within a high volume recruitment environment is beneficial but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Customer service driven with mediation & conflict resolution skills
  • Proactive team leader with excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Previous experience using an ATS system (JazzHR preferred but not essential)
Required Security Clearances
  • Must consent to a Criminal Background Check
  • Must have been living in Canada for 5 or more years, and be a citizen or PR for clearances required for the role
