Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting the skilled trades, construction, maintenance, and turnaround business units with recruitment requirements. We are seeking a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in recruitment and demonstrated leadership experience.

This is a full-time, permanent position based out of Calgary, AB. The role also qualifies for our hybrid remote working program. This role will be on an averaging agreement, working. This will be a 9-on-4-off, 5-on-2-off, 4-on-4-off 40 hrs/week, 9 hour days, 4 week rotation.

What would you be doing?

  • Coach, lead and devleop your team while supporting them in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategiesspecific to the business units you are supporting to attract a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and provide strategic guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Utilize various sourcing techniques, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals, to identify and engage with potential candidates.
  • on an as-needed basis, conduct thorough candidate assessments, including resume screening, phone interviews, and in-person interviews, to ensure a strong match with our company culture and requirements.
  • Actively manage the candidate pipeline and provide regular updates to hiring managers, ensuring a seamless recruitment process.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition, and share knowledge with the team to continuously improve our processes.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with recruitment standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, and update on any changes.
  • Work directly with the operational group and recruitment team to understand project scope(s), and deliverables, provide status updates, and understand risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project meetings with internal stakeholders to attain imperative information for upcoming projects to relay to the greater team and provide status updates to the operational group on progress.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or college diploma in business, human resources, or related field.
  • Registered Professional Recruiter designation is an asset.
  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills; you can develop, mentor, and grow a high-functioning team.
  • 5 years experience in recruitment, preferably in a fast-paced and growth-orientated company. Experienced and knowledgeable of industrial trades and craft roles.
  • Excellent work ethic with a hands-on approach, flexible and results oriented.
  • Must be able to organize and manage multiple high-demand priorities.
  • Skilled in developing relationships and successfully gained buy-in on business initiatives and recommendations.
  • Ability to conduct and train on various interview styles (structured, competency-based, virtual, online, etc.).
  • Familiarity working within Talent Acquisition Systems and platforms; experience with iCIMS and/or UKG is considered an asset.
