Salary: $72445- $104139 / year
The Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) takes a provincial leadership role in human resources and labour relations issues management for BC\'s publicly funded health care employers. HEABC is home to several provincial services and programs related to health human resources, including Health Match BC \xe2\x80\x93 BC\'s provincial health care recruitment program. Health Match BC is growing and expanding the recruitment services it provides for in-demand and priority occupations. This includes new recruitment services and supports for registered nurses. We are currently in need of new team members who have a passion for recruitment and customer service and a keen interest in making an impact across communities in BC. The successful candidate may be permitted to work in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and flexible work location) and will live within commuting distance of our Vancouver office. The successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; proof of Vaccination is required. For more information, visit www.heabc.bc.ca and www.healthmatchbc.org OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to the Manager, Nursing Navigation Services, the Recruitment Consultant, Nursing Navigator works as a dedicated resource for Internationally Educated Nurses as they navigate provincial licensing, registration, and immigration processes. The Nurse Navigator will work with candidates, employers, regulators and other partners to create a more efficient and supportive process for the candidates. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-on-one and personalized support for nursing candidates as they navigate the regulatory and immigration processes required to live and work in BC.
  • Working closely with regulatory bodies, and immigration partners to track candidates\' progress \xe2\x80\x93 identifying, addressing and escalating barriers and bottlenecks, as appropriate.
  • Creating educational resources that help IENs understand the licensing and immigration processes.
  • Maintaining candidate tracking reports, systems, and tracking key metrics.
  • Participating in provincial committees and working groups related to nursing recruitment and retention.
  • Supporting other nursing recruitment services such as administration of bursaries and other financial incentives.
Required Experience:
  • University degree, preferably related to Human Resources, Business Administration, or Social Services or another relevant degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years\' recent related recruitment experience in the health care sector providing expertise in recruitment, HR strategies, analysis and problem solving, immigration expertise or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, ability to provide strategic consultative advice and ability to ability to research and present complex issues,
  • Be a creative problem-solver and the ability to effectively balance multiple projects.
Salary Range:
Minimum: $72,445 Midpoint: $90,556 Maximum: $104,139
Upon hire, most new employees will be placed in a starting salary between the minimum and midpoint of the stated salary range. In some circumstances, candidates may be eligible for compensation beyond the midpoint. Factors influencing salary decisions include qualifications and years of experience in similar roles.
