The MESC Recruitment Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for recruitment and retention and supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the Human Resources & Recruitment processes.

Responsibilities
The Recruitment Assistant is responsible to the Director of Human Resources.
The Recruitment Assistant duties include but are not limited to:
Recruitment & Retention
Create interview schedules
Contact applicants to schedule interviews
Coordinate interview dates and times with hiring managers
Prepare interview guides and packages
Book meeting rooms
Post interview follow-ups
Coordinating onboarding schedules
Assist with contract signing when required
Create employee files when required
Maintain Casual/Sub hire lists
Attend Recruitment and promotional events with the Recruiter
Provide admin support to the People Services branch as required
Provide backup to other PS Admin Support Staff during absences
Assist the Director of School Personnel with:
Processing and maintaining paperwork for subs, casual & practicum placements
Preparing, organizing and filing school-based HR documents
Assist with the coordination of professional development
Assist with the orientation of new hires
Assist with data collection and reporting
Other duties as assigned
Technical Support

Follow up with applicants for document collection
Assist recruiter as required

Communications
Liaise with comms for promotional material i.e.: pamphlets, brochures, job postings, and posters.

Qualifications
Administrative Assistant Certification and/or related post-secondary training
Computer training and/or experience: Google Suite is an asset
Experience in Human Resources and/or recruitment is an asset
Knowledge and understanding of labour standards and employment laws is an asset
A willingness to acquire additional training as needed
Working Conditions
Fast-paced work environment
Manual dexterity is required to use computers and peripherals
Intermittent physical activity, including walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods
Travel may be required
Overtime as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,420.00-$62,681.00 per year
