We are seeking a
Recruitment Assistant for a temporary contract role.
Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized Recruitment Assistant. You will provide administrative support within a fast-paced HR environment. Experience recruiting for unionized positions and/or the retirement living sector is an asset.
This role is a hybrid position involving tasks carried out at various Retirement Communities, support office, and your home office.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the end-to-end recruitment life cycle from job posting, candidate search, screening, selection, references, offers, closing and placement for community frontline roles
Liaise with hiring managers to clarify job requirements, coordinate interviews, and facilitate timely candidate communication
Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure compliance with internal policies and collective agreements
Draft and distribute job postings, offer letters, interview guides, and other recruitment-related documentation
Assist with onboarding tasks, including background checks, reference verifications, and documentation follow-up
Ensure adherence to applicable employment legislation and collective agreement provisions throughout the recruitment process
Coordinate and participate in job fairs, networking events, and other talent acquisition initiatives as needed
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance recruitment efficiency and candidate experience
Any and all other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience using software such as the ADP Recruiting Module (Workforce Now or Enterprise version)
Experience with recruiting, with a particular focus on unionized positions and/or in the retirement living sector is an asset
Solid understanding of employment standards and collective agreement considerations related to recruitment and selection
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to draft professional correspondence and communicate with diverse stakeholders
High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems an asset
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
CHRP designation or working towards it is considered an asset
Demonstrate good judgment, discretion, and sensitivity to confidentiality
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and matrix-led environment
Must possess an Ontario Driver's License and the ability to travel within Ontario
